The Children's Theatre Company of Sioux Falls
and The Washington Pavilion of Arts and Sciences are proud to present
the World Premiere of a New Musical for Family Audiences
EMPEROR,
INCORPORATED
| |
On
the eve of her 13th birthday, Pretty May Peror runs away from
home, only to discover that, unbeknownst to her father, his
corporation is destroying the city of Glitterland.
Emperor, Incoprorated, inspired
by Hans Christian Andersen's The Emperor's New Clothes, revists
the classic themes of the original story through a contemporary
lens. Set in a futuristic world pervaded by technology and
ruled by consumerisum, this new play for family audiences,
like Andersen's tale, explores the humorous-and sometimes
dangerous- delusions that grow from a life out of balance
and a heart overtaken by greed.
