The Children's Theatre Company of Sioux Falls was started in 2001 by Artistic Director and Founder, Nancy Halverson. The company is pleased to be in partnership with Augustana College. Since our humble beginnings, the company has performed for well over 300,000 South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska young people and their families.

......Nancy Halverson, Founder & Artistic Director......

Nancy has joined the Sioux Falls community following appointments as a professor of Theatre for Young Audiences at the University of Illinois and Florida State University. She is currently an adjunct professor of Theatre at Augustana College and serves on the executive board of the Washington Pavilion and the International Association of Theatre for Young Audiences (ASSITEJ). Her background includes performing in national and international tours, directing productions for a variety of companies, and working on the creation of new plays for young audiences. Nancy received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre for Young Audiences from Arizona State University and is the author of three theatre textbooks.

 

 

 

 

 

......Rose Ann Kelly , Director of Programming and Education ......

Rose Ann is here for her third year with CTCSF, enjoying adventures acrosss South Dakota as a part of our Artist-In-Residence program. She received her bachelor's degree from The University of South Dakota in 2005 where she acted in numerous University Theatre productions and spent a summer onstage at the Black Hills Playhouse. An Aberdeen, SD native, Rose Ann brings much experience working with children from three summers acting onstage with the Storybook Land Theatre Company. You may have seen Rose Ann appear onstage in CTCSF's touring show, Fly and the summer production of Too Many Frogs !

......Kay Oldfather-Daigle, Artist/Educator ......

Kay is thrilled to be joining CTCSF this year as an actor/educator. Kay got her start in theater entertaining crowds at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri in the early 80’s. After receiving her degree in theater from William Woods University in 1990, Kay joined a deaf/hearing touring theater company, Sunshine Too, and traveled for two years conducting workshops and plays about deaf culture and American Sign Language. She was last seen in the CTCSF production of Emperor Incorporated.

 

 
 

 

 

......Sean McCain , Stage Manager/Improvisation Instructor ......

Sean McCain is currently working on his Bachelor's degree in theatre at Augustana College where he is studying stage management. His first summer with Children's Theatre Company, he acted as the production stage manager for the summer camps and CTCSF's show in the park, Too Many Frogs. In addition to stage management, Sean has an interest in improvisation, and teaches improv classes and workshops for CTCSF. Outside of work, Sean keeps busy with Augustana College Theatre and the two improv troupes he is a part of: Brand Name Improv and GoldMilk Favorites.

 
 

 

 

......Robyn Holcomb, Musical Director/Artist......


Robyn Holcomb is in her 6th year of work with CTCSF. Robyn has been a part of several productions with the company including: Stand Together, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Kids Stuff, Kids Stuff Too!, and Emperor, Inc. When Robyn isn't acting for the company she works as the Musical Director, writing and recording new pieces for shows as well as training young singers. Robyn is also an accomplished Dancer and Choreographer, and her skills in this area can also be seen in CTCSF productions.
